about

Written on October 10th 2004, the day Christopher Reeve passed away. It is dedicated to him, a tribute to a man who inspired me as a child, and continues to inspire me as an adult.

Final version recorded on 28th October 2004.

lyrics

As a boy I stood, staring up at you
I asked you how you fly
Magic wires you said
As you walked away
Deep into the night

And as for all the wounds well now they're healing
As beyond the earth again you're flying

So look at you now sweeping across the universe
I can't imagine how heaven must look to you
And look at you now sweeping across the universe
I can't imagine how heaven must look to you

Will we meet again
Will you tell me then
Tell me how you fly
I hope you're not alone
Far away from here
I hope you realise

Because of you so many lives are changing
Far above the earth again you're flying

So look at you now sweeping across the universe
I can't imagine how heaven must look to you
And look at you now sweeping across the universe
I can't imagine how heaven must look to you

How heaven must look to you
